Feast of Tabernacles Webcasts Overview

Review the overview video and instructions to have a successful Feast webcast.

Pre-FOT Setup

Log in to COGWA TV Admin and open the correct channel

  • Sign in to the COGWA TV Admin website.
  • If you have access to more than one channel, select the Feast site channel you need.
  • This takes you to the main admin area for that webcast site.

Get your streaming setup information from Software Config

  • Click Software Config to find the key setup details for your encoder.
  • Most sites will use an ATEM streamer.
  • If your ATEM is already configured for COGWA TV, you only need to update the stream key in ATEM Software Control.
  • Review the How to configure your ATEM knowledge base article if you need step-by-step setup instructions.
  • Once the stream key is entered, you should not need to repeat that setup unless something changes.

Verify the live stream works

  • After entering the stream key, test the setup ahead of time.
  • Turn on the stream using the ATEM on-air button.
  • Return to the monitor page in COGWA TV to confirm the stream is coming through correctly.  Also check the public webcast page to confirm it is working.
  • This is the best way to catch issues before the Feast begins.
  • Confirm the same way prior to each service.

Running the Webcast

Open the Webcasting section to monitor the live stream

  • Click Webcasting in the left-hand menu.
  • This opens the Webcasting section of the COGWA TV Admin control panel.
  • Use this page to monitor the webcast while it is live:
    • View the live stream playback
    • Check the number of viewers
    • Confirm whether the stream is connected or idle
    • Monitor the public chat on the COGWA TV website
  • Be sure to monitor the audio for the webcast to confirm levels are set correctly.

Replays

  • Replays are important because many viewers watch services later in the day or after the Feast.
  • The system already includes placeholder replay slots for the full schedule.
  • When a service ends, go to the Replays page and find the matching placeholder for that day/time.

Trim each recording so it starts and ends cleanly.

  • Select the replay for a service and use the trim tool to clean up the beginning and end of each webcast recording.
  • Use the "Trim Current Asset" option.
  • The goal is for the video to:
    • Start right when the song leader comes up
    • End right after the closing prayer
  • This keeps the replay tight and focused on the service itself.

Set the Replay Type.

  • Choose the Replay Type that corresponds to the service date.

Review speaker information in the Replay Description.

  • Review and update anything that changed.
  • Keeping this information accurate helps viewers on the website and ROKU see the correct details.

Save the replay.

  • Click the Save button.
  • Once assigned, the replay title updates automatically and appears across the supported platforms.
  • If a replay has not been assigned yet, viewers will see a temporary message telling them the replay is not yet available.
