Title & Description Guidelines
The title and description of any PUBLISHED asset is very important. Here are guidelines that must to be followed.
The title should only include the actual title of the message or presentation.
Do not include information like the speaker's name, the date given or the type of message. If you would like to indicate the type of message, like a Bible Study, please incorporate that into the description.
The title will be displayed on our various platforms, so it is important that the title is accurate and consistent with the other messages posted.
Descriptions should provide a summary of the message.
A description should only include a summary of the message. It should not include placeholder content just so you can get past the requirement for there to be a description.
Do not include the title or any other information that is already associated with the asset, like date or speaker. It is ok to indicate if a message is a Bible study or a seminar in the description field, but try to incorporate that into the overall description naturally (In this Bible Study... ).
Follow COGWA's Title Style Guide

Numbers under 10
- In general, spell out. (Five Aspects, Three Keys, Seven Laws, etc.)
- For sequential designations, use numerals/digits. (Part 1, Chapter 2, Step 3, etc.)
- Ordinal numbers under 10 should be spelled out. (First Commandment, Third Step, etc.)
Numbers 10 and over
- Always use numerals/digits. (20 Scriptures, 300 Years, 2025, etc.)
- Ordinal numbers should use numerals/digits, but the “-st,” “-nd,” “-rd” and “-th” should not be small, superscript. (10th Commandment)
Series
- Use "Part X" to designate a message that is part of a series. Use a comma after the title and before the part designation. (Healing and Sin, Part 2, not Healing and Sin - Part 2, Healing and Sin #2 or Part 2: Healing and Sin)
