Managing Sermon Recordings from Traveling Speakers and Church Circuits
Please follow these guidelines for speakers that serve multiple congregations or for any guest speakers.
Avoid Duplicate Publishing of a Message
When a pastor or speaker delivers the same message in multiple congregations:
-
Only One Congregation Should Publish: Even if the message is given at different times in different congregations (e.g., one week in Congregation A and the next in Congregation B), only one version should be posted online.
-
Coordinate the Publishing: Congregational media teams and the pastor should communicate to decide:
-
Which congregation will publish the message
-
Which week it will be published
-
Guest Speakers
When a guest speaker delivers a message in your congregation:
-
Ask for Permission Before Posting: Confirm with the speaker whether they are comfortable having the message posted online.
- COGWA HQ Speakers: Messages published for guest speakers from the Headquarter's Office will be held for review by the COGWA Media team before being made public.
-
Respect Their Future Plans: Some guest speakers may plan to deliver the same message elsewhere and may not want it available publicly beforehand.
-
Search Existing Posts: Before publishing a sermon that could have been given elsewhere, search the Member website to see if the message is already posted.
-
Avoid Reposting: If it has already been posted by another congregation, do not post it again.
